As an experienced corporate entrepreneur (Intrapreneur), Susan understands the challenges of building corporate entrepreneurship as a core competency inside of an established organizations.
Susan has spent the last twenty five years helping organizations develop new growth businesses that have generated millions. She helps organizations identify and develop their internal entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial leaders. Then works with them to build the infrastructure needed to support innovation inside their organizations, accelerating the speed of growth.
Susan is a professional speaker, the author of numerous articles and author of the book Entrepreneurs Inside: Accelerating Business Growth with Corporate Entrepreneurs and an e-book Acceleration: Changing the Speed of Growth.
She is an Executive in Residence at Babson College and teaches Corporate Entrepreneurship at Babson Executive Education. Susan is also a fellow at the Center for Innovation and Change Leadership at Suffolk University where she is conducting research to explore in greater depth what organizations need to build and sustain entrepreneurship as a core competency.
Susan works with Fortune 1000 and medium size businesses that are under pressure to deliver new business growth. She helps these organizations build the entrepreneurial competencies needed for success. Susan’s mission is to help business executives, innovation teams and individuals understand the value of corporate entrepreneurship in accelerating business growth and to help individuals develop their capabilities as internal entrepreneurs. In doing so, she is awakening the entrepreneur in all of us.
Prior to this Susan was the Executive Director of the applied research centers at Babson Executive Education. Before that Susan was Vice President of Research Services at Standard & Poor’s where she built and managed a venture funded initiative to create the Industry Services business. She also held senior positions at 3M, Hewlett-Packard, Digital Equipment, DMR Group and Arthur D. Little.
Susan has a BS in Business Administration and an MBA in Marketing Management from Rochester Institute of Technology, a post graduate degree in Health Administration from Simmons Graduate School and Executive Management Training at INSEAD, France.
Affiliations include the National Speakers Association, The Boston Club Distinguished Leaders Series, and she is a Certified Hospice Volunteer.
